About the Sheriffs' Association
The Arizona Sheriffs' Association is an organization comprised of participating elected county sheriffs who have sworn to maintain the public trust through open, honest and ethical administration of their respective offices and exercising integrity and professionalism in the use of their constitutional powers and authority.
What the Association does
Leadership and Coordination
The Association convenes Arizona's elected sheriffs as one body — a standing forum where county offices align priorities, share what works, and coordinate a statewide response to the public safety challenges no single county can meet alone.
Advocacy at the Legislature
The Association reviews proposed legislation, provides testimony grounded in operational experience, and presents the unified position of Arizona's sheriffs to lawmakers and the public — standing for sound public-safety policy on behalf of the communities the sheriffs serve.
Training and Education
Through its annual symposium and programs held throughout the year, the Association supports executive education, professional training, and the exchange of best practices among sheriffs, command staff, deputies, and detention leaders.
Support for Search and Rescue
The Association raises funds and advocates for the search and rescue operations that Arizona's sheriffs lead in every county — supporting the training, equipment, and volunteer teams that answer thousands of calls each year.
A Charitable Partner in Service to Arizona
The Arizona Sheriffs' Foundation is a separate nonprofit charitable organization established to strengthen public safety and support communities served by Arizona’s sheriffs.
Through charitable giving and partnerships, the Foundation supports search and rescue, public safety education and training, youth and community-based programs, assistance for law enforcement personnel and their families in times of significant need or tragedy, and other initiatives that benefit communities throughout Arizona.
