Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Arizona Sheriffs' Association and the Arizona Sheriffs' Foundation (together, "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, and protect information in connection with this website and our donation, membership, and store services. The Arizona Sheriffs' Association is a 501(c)(4) organization; the Arizona Sheriffs' Foundation is a separate 501(c)(3) charitable organization. This policy applies to both.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information you choose to provide. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact and inquiry details — your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, organization, and the content of any message you send through a form on this site.
  • Donation information — when you give to the Arizona Sheriffs' Foundation, we and our payment processor collect your name, email, phone number, billing address, occupation, donation amount, and payment details.
  • Membership information — when you join a supporter or membership program, we collect the details needed to administer your membership.
  • Store orders — when you purchase merchandise, we and our payment processor, Stripe, collect your name, contact information, shipping and billing address, and order details.
  • Email sign-ups — if you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address.

We do not require you to create an account, and simply browsing this website does not require you to provide personal information.

Payment Information

Donations, memberships, sponsorships, and store purchases are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card or bank details are entered on, and handled by, those providers under their own security and privacy practices. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and acknowledge donations, including issuing receipts and, where applicable, tax-acknowledgment letters;
  • Administer memberships and supporter programs;
  • Fulfill merchandise orders;
  • Respond to inquiries and communicate with you about our work, events, and programs;
  • Keep records required for the ordinary operation and legal compliance of our organizations.

Donor Privacy

We value the trust our supporters place in us. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share donor or supporter personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing. You may request to give anonymously, ask that we not publicly recognize your gift, or opt out of our communications at any time by contacting us.

Cookies and Analytics

This website may use cookies and similar technologies to help the site function and to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use it. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some features may not function as intended if you do.

Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers to operate this website and our services — including website hosting, form processing, payment processing (Stripe), and email delivery. Information you submit is transmitted to and processed by these providers only for the purposes described above, and each maintains its own privacy and security practices.

How We Share Information

We share information only with the service providers described above as needed to operate; when required by law or to respond to lawful requests; and to protect the rights, safety, and property of our organizations, our supporters, or the public. We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to meet our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Your Choices

You may request to access, correct, or delete information you have submitted, or opt out of our communications, by contacting us using the details below. Every email communication also includes an unsubscribe option.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for a general audience, is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
